Design Student Assistant (CPH)
Our aesthetics transport our message in wholesome and original presentations aimed at creating strategic change, that often lies in a future companies need to prepare for, the first eye opening meeting with the consequences of changes is in the presentations. Visual communication is an important and integrated tool for translating our complex thinking into tangible, understandable and compelling ideas.
The small team of Visual communications designers at ReD work closely with project teams to transform data, analysis, and ideas into visual presentations, and are key to helping us present and sell our ideas to clients in a clear, distinct and convincing way within ReD design guidelines.
And the aesthetics is also part of the full brand experience, and the design student assistant will be part of strengthening and developing the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Design work: The design student will both assist teams with visual communication for presentations: this includes graphic design, data visualization, illustrative work e.g. scenario illustration. The work is mainly conducted in Powerpoint.
The design student will also help teams on research presentations, printed workshop material, and illustrative concept briefs for some of the biggest companies in the world.
Internal visual design: Finally, the design students may also be involved in internal design projects, connected to the visual representation of the brand – website, visual identity and other materials. This work will also be in Adobe package.
You will refer to the Director of Brand.
The role is 15-20 hours per week.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Currently pursuing a degree in visual communication, graphic design or related areas;
Experienced or expert users in Adobe package, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word;
Independent, proactive and easy-going;
A natural communicator who can collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
Curious and interested in working closely with the fields of social science, research, strategy, and innovation;
A hand-on approach to help develop the tools and intellectually interested in what visual communication can accomplish;
Able to seamlessly adapt to project work and the ReD visual style;
Adaptable to a high-speed and sometimes unpredictable work environment. Able to be flexible and work across time-zone when needed
