Politiken: Jun Lee Wants An International Atmosphere In The City

Jun Lee is an innovation strategist and product planner at the international Danish consultancy ReD Associates. The company was able to attract him from a position at the global electronics giant Samsung because of its working environment, which Lee describes as “consisting of intelligent, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, open, and English-speaking colleagues.”
However, if Denmark seeks to attract more foreigners with unique skill sets like Jun Lee, they will need to lower the income taxes. The current tax system is designed for people who live their whole life in Denmark. Those who only end up working in the country for a few years end up paying a disproportionate amount of income into a welfare system that is intended to benefit only lifelong residents of Denmark.
